A long time ago.

This is an old crocheted blanket I made when I was about 10 years old! I recently dug it out of storage and gave it a wash, and now it's being used on my son's bed. 

I am constantly amazed at how many crocheted blankets are for sale when I go looking at the Vinnies or Salvos.  Thankfully my mum didn't get rid of this one.  I was shown how to crochet by an old family friend, Helen.  She now lives at Vacy and still crochets.  Thanks Helen!
